THREE LIVER DISEASES WHICHCOULD BE EASILY MISDIAGNOSED

OP Kapoor

Over the last few years I have been repeatedly comparing my impression that the following three liver diseases could be easily misdiagnosed and can mimic every liver disease :
  1. Drug hepatitis
  2. Alcoholic hepatitis
  3. Wilson’s disease

In every complicated liver patient, rule out all these three diseases. The first two could be ruled out only by good history taking. While the last one could be ruled out by a single slit lamp examination of the cornea.
